Custom Walk-In Closet & Built-In Cabinetry in Thornhill

We constructed the walk-in closet around the available walls and room geometry. Open hanging sections, adjustable shelves and multiple drawers divide storage by use, while the cabinetry continues upward to make use of the room's height.

In a condo, that custom fit avoids the gaps and awkward recesses left by standard modules. The layout responds directly to the high hanging zones and difficult corner.

Pull-down upper hanging rails let the top of the wall hold clothing without leaving it out of reach. A handle brings the rail and garments down toward the user, then the assembly returns overhead.

The system makes the high zone useful while keeping everyday access practical.

Closet corners often have enough volume for storage but poor access to anything placed at the back. In this installation, a shelf inside the deep corner pulls outward on its hardware, bringing the stored area toward the user.

The extended mechanism is the important detail: items do not have to disappear behind the adjacent cabinetry. The corner becomes genuinely usable storage rather than a deep space that is only convenient when empty.

The closet also includes a tall cabinet with glass doors and glass shelves. Light can travel through the display area without the visual weight of solid shelf fronts.

This enclosed section complements the open shelves, drawers and hanging bays while remaining part of the same custom millwork package.

A tall fitted cabinet with drawers was installed in the master bedroom. Its proportions and finish relate to the walk-in closet cabinetry, so the storage reads as one coordinated project rather than a separate piece of freestanding furniture.

Using custom cabinetry in both rooms makes it possible to respond to the available wall and adjacent opening instead of accepting the gaps and fixed dimensions of a standard wardrobe.

The finished closet uses open shelving, drawers, hanging bays and enclosed storage without treating every wall as the same standard module. The pull-down rails make upper storage practical, and the slide-out shelf solves the specific access problem inside the corner.

Together with the glass shelving, bedroom cabinetry, feature walls and pot lights, those details create a cohesive condo interior. The result looks tailored because the work was tailored to the way the available space is actually used.
