Privacy policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This policy describes information handled through the Strataline website and project-inquiry process in Canada.

Project inquiry information

The project-inquiry form asks for:

  • project type
  • property city
  • occupancy status
  • preferred start window
  • approximate budget
  • name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • an optional property address
  • a description of the proposed work
  • optional photos, drawings or project documents

The form also sends routing details such as the selected service, source page URL, page path, form location, service intent, submission time, and an anti-spam field. These details help Strataline understand and respond to the inquiry, attribute it to the correct page, and prevent duplicate or automated submissions.

Optional address suggestions

When enabled, optional property-address suggestions use Google Maps. Address search text and a Canada/Southern Ontario geographic bias are sent to Google; enquiry names, contact details, descriptions, photos and calculator details are not sent with these searches. The website does not request your device’s GPS location or retain searches in browser storage. Google also receives the technical information associated with requests to its service, as described in its Privacy Policy. Use of address suggestions is subject to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service.

You can ignore suggestions and enter an address manually. Selecting a suggestion does not verify an address or submit an enquiry. Only the address you choose to include in the form is handled with your enquiry as described below.

Form routing and service providers

The website sends project inquiries to Strataline’s first-party /api/project-inquiry endpoint. That endpoint validates required fields, checks the anti-spam field, and applies duplicate-submission protection. Accepted inquiries are then sent through the site’s registered Netlify Forms form. Netlify hosts the website and processes the form submission.

Enquiry notifications are routed to max@strataline.ca. The endpoint checks the applicable Netlify notification setting and confirms the saved submission before showing success. This does not independently prove that an email reached the inbox.

How the information is used

Inquiry information is used to review the requested work, contact the person who submitted it, prepare or discuss a project scope, and maintain the administrative record of that conversation. You may optionally attach photos, drawings or project documents. Attachments are stored privately in Netlify Blobs. The enquiry notification includes a download link for each file. Anyone with a valid link can download that individual file until the link expires after seven days. Strataline can issue a new link after expiry using authenticated owner access.

If you separately text photographs to Strataline, those images and the associated message details are handled through the phone and messaging services used for that conversation. Do not send sensitive documents or information that is not needed to review the project.

Storage and retention

Netlify Forms stores accepted form submissions in the Strataline Netlify account. The first-party endpoint also stores delivery status, submission identifiers, hashes used to verify delivery, and attachment metadata in Netlify Blobs. Attachment metadata includes the original filename, safe download name, size and content type; the original attachment bytes remain in private storage. These records support retries and duplicate protection. Files are served as downloads and are not published in website galleries, search indexes or social media. Failed uploads are removed when safely known to be unaccepted; uncertain deliveries are retained for review. Related email, text, or business records may also remain in the services used to communicate about the inquiry.

The website code does not enforce a fixed automatic deletion period for these records, so this policy does not promise a one-year deletion schedule. Download-link expiry does not delete a stored file. Records and accepted attachments are retained as needed to respond to the inquiry and maintain ordinary business records. You may request deletion using the contact address below. A request may be subject to records that must be retained for legal, accounting, security, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Analytics

The production website uses Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics to understand visits and website performance. These services may receive technical and usage information such as page views, browser or device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring pages, and interaction events, according to their respective configurations and policies.

Reviews

Reviews displayed on the website may include opinions or project details supplied by customers. If you ask Strataline to correct or remove information in a displayed review, contact us using the address below.
