The amount of repair and skim coating follows that assessment; painted texture by itself does not automatically set the price.
For applicable work such as ceiling removal, stair sanding, wall correction and painting preparation, our dust-free process combines containment, floor and furniture protection, HEPA extraction, Festool and Mirka sanding equipment, controlled sanding, air management, cleanup and inspection. The system captures sanding dust and protects occupied areas. Demolition and brick cutting still generate dust at the work point and need operation-specific containment.

Yes. An accredited outside company attends the property, collects the sample and sends it for laboratory analysis. Testing is billed through Strataline. We coordinate the testing before potentially affected material is disturbed; our employees do not perform laboratory asbestos analysis. A photograph or the appearance of a ceiling cannot establish whether the material contains asbestos.
Often, with a practical plan for usable rooms, protected circulation and temporary restrictions. The answer depends on the scope, drying stages and whether essential stairs, the kitchen or the only bathroom must close. We discuss those interruptions before scheduling. A contained work zone still needs to remain clear of household traffic while work is underway.
We warrant our labour and installation to the original client for as long as that client owns the property, subject to the applicable manufacturer-warranty period for supplied products. Where no meaningful manufacturer warranty exists, workmanship coverage continues through the original client’s ownership. If a problem is caused by our workmanship, we return and correct it. Coverage ends when the property is sold or another contractor modifies or repairs the covered work.

We can coordinate an architectural firm with access to architects and engineers. The partner can prepare drawings and documentation and submit the application on the homeowner’s behalf; the homeowner is normally named as the applicant. Architectural, engineering and municipal permit fees are separate, and Strataline’s coordination fee is quoted separately. Responsibilities and costs are defined before work begins.
A typical larger project uses 30% when booked or products are ordered, 30% when products arrive at the client’s property, and 40% following installation and completion. These terms are flexible, not mandatory for every project. The individual written agreement controls and identifies the milestones so payment follows the agreed purchasing and construction plan.

Custom and special-order products become non-refundable once ordered, so confirm the selections and ordering status when discussing a cancellation. The deposit also reserves the project date. We do not apply one universal project minimum. Small work may be accepted when it matters to the client, is technically demanding, supports accessibility, involves an existing client or is logistically practical. A defect only a few square inches in size can require protection, filling, sanding, priming, colour matching and repainting a larger plane so it does not look patched.

Project fit depends on the scope and practical access; travel, accommodation and special transport are quoted according to the work.
Yes, we accept suitable cottage-country and remote-Ontario projects, including water-access properties and island cottages. We have experience with tool transport by boat, barge delivery, window and door delivery, remote material handling, accommodation and freight planning. The access plan forms part of the quote because a cottage project involves more than the work inside the building.
We review the property access and the size, quantity and handling needs of the materials and equipment before arranging transport. Tools may travel by boat, while larger doors, windows or deliveries can require a barge. Delivery, unloading and the movement to the building must be coordinated with the work sequence so the needed materials arrive in a usable order.
Travel, accommodation, boat transport, barge rental and special freight are quoted according to the project. Tell us about the access arrangements early, including how products and tools reach the building. A remote job can require a different delivery and working schedule from a local house, and those logistics should be defined alongside the renovation scope.
Let us know what changed, when it appeared and where it is, with wide and close photographs if possible. Do not assume that a small or lighting-dependent flaw is unimportant. After more than 15 years in business, workmanship callbacks are rare, but we still investigate reported issues and return to correct genuine defects caused by our work.
A failure caused by faulty preparation or application may be covered as workmanship. Ordinary dirt, scratches and wear from use are not workmanship defects. We inspect the condition and investigate the cause rather than automatically blaming the client or the product. Moisture sources, maintenance, movement and any later alterations help determine why the finish changed.
No. Workmanship coverage applies to the original client and ends when the property is sold. It also ends when another contractor modifies or repairs the covered work. If you see a possible defect, let us assess it before arranging alterations. We investigate the cause so a workmanship issue can be corrected without losing the evidence needed to understand it.
