This is the second time Max has done some work at our home. The first time was to remove popcorn from our hallway ceilings. We were so very impressed with the results and it was truly dust-free. This time Max removed wallpaper and prepared those walls for painting. He painted several other areas as well and sanded and reapplied urethane on all our new doors. And again it was dust-free! What is the difference between retrofit and brick-to-brick window replacement?
Retrofit keeps a suitable existing frame and installs a new unit within it. Brick-to-brick or full-frame replacement removes the old frame back to the rough opening so more of the opening can be inspected and rebuilt. The correct method depends on actual frame, perimeter and water-management conditions.
Should I choose double-pane or triple-pane windows?
Either may be appropriate. Exposure, opening size, traffic noise, comfort priorities, unit weight, configuration and budget all matter. We compare the exact documented product options rather than assuming one glass package suits every opening.
Can you replace only a few windows, or does it need to be the whole house?
A smaller group can be reviewed, although the service is best suited to multi-window and whole-home projects. Grouping openings can make colour, trim and installation decisions more consistent.
Can Strataline replace the interior casing and jambs?
