Recognize the problem
The complete opening
Buying a quality window is only one part of the project. The opening may be out of square, old insulation may be ineffective and water damage can remain hidden behind trim.
Exterior caulking alone is not complete water management. Jamb extensions, casing, drywall and paint transitions also affect the final appearance, while installation decisions affect operation and air sealing.
We quote the window, the opening and the finish as one coordinated scope.Operating configurations

Compare complete scope
The lowest-looking quote may omit the work that determines how the finished opening looks and performs.
A window quote should tell you what the home will look like when the installers leave—not only which window arrives on the truck. One accountable renovation scope
We work around existing flooring, walls, trim, furniture and completed interiors.
If damaged drywall, trim, framing or previous installation problems are found, the coordinated scope can address them.
Product selection, installation, surrounding finish work, cleanup and final review remain coordinated through Strataline.
The quote distinguishes product, installation method, interior work, exterior work, allowances, exclusions and the warranty path.

Occupied-home renovation
This is the second time Max has done some work at our home. The first time was to remove popcorn from our hallway ceilings. We were so very impressed with the results and it was truly dust-free. This time Max removed wallpaper and prepared those walls for painting. He painted several other areas as well and sanded and reapplied urethane on all our new doors. And again it was dust-free! He and Galina are superb craftsmen. Their attention to the smallest of details speaks volumes of the pride they take in their work. A quality that is difficult to find these days. We highly recommend Strataline. Thank you Max and Galina. We will be calling again for the next project. Ilene and Mario, Maple

Replacement-window FAQ
The visible answers and FAQ structured data use the same source.
Retrofit keeps a suitable existing frame and installs a new unit within it. Brick-to-brick or full-frame replacement removes the old frame back to the rough opening so more of the opening can be inspected and rebuilt. The correct method depends on actual frame, perimeter and water-management conditions.
Either may be appropriate. Exposure, opening size, traffic noise, comfort priorities, unit weight, configuration and budget all matter. We compare the exact documented product options rather than assuming one glass package suits every opening.
A smaller group can be reviewed, although the service is best suited to multi-window and whole-home projects. Grouping openings can make colour, trim and installation decisions more consistent.
Yes, when included in the quotation. Jamb extensions, casing, drywall correction, caulking and paint-ready finishing can be coordinated with the window installation.
The condition is documented and reviewed before it is covered. The repair scope, responsibility, cost and schedule effect are confirmed before additional work proceeds.
Floors and nearby finishes are protected, access routes are planned, openings are handled in a controlled sequence and debris is removed. Window replacement is not described as dust-free, but the work area can be kept protected and orderly.
Some installations can proceed in suitable winter conditions. Temperature, wind, precipitation, sealant requirements, opening exposure and temporary protection must be considered for the specific day and product.
Lead time depends on product, colour, glass, configuration, quantity and season. The current expected lead time is stated in the quotation before the order is placed.
Available colours, grilles, glass, hardware and combinations depend on the selected product line. Exact options are confirmed before ordering rather than promised from a generic image.
The quotation should identify the manufacturer product warranty, Strataline workmanship responsibility, exclusions, service contact and available documentation. No duration is claimed until current written terms are confirmed.
Send your postal code, approximate window count, photos from inside and outside, known problems, desired style or finish, timing and whether interior trim or wall repair should be included. Final measurements require a site review.
