WOODBRIDGE · OPENING ALTERATIONS & REPLACEMENT
Six arched windows became three larger windows.
The Woodbridge project combined window replacement with changes to the brick openings. Plywood protected the flat roof during removal, and new sills, perimeter insulation and custom aluminum completed the work around the new frames. This changed the brick openings; it was a larger scope than a standard like-for-like window installation.
GEORGETOWN · A NEW WINDOW OPENING
Daylight where the kitchen needed it.
As part of this whole-home renovation, Strataline added a fixed privacy-glass window above the kitchen counter. Its size and position were coordinated with the sink, cabinetry, backsplash and exterior brickwork, bringing in daylight without making the window look added afterward.
The new opening went through the exterior brick wall. Planning it with the kitchen kept the glass, sink and surrounding finishes part of one coordinated renovation.

Products and finishes
Confirm the window count, dimensions, operating styles, glass and finish selections. The quote separates product supply from installation and defines interior trim, exterior capping and wall or paint repairs so you can compare complete scopes.
Opening changes
Enlargement, new brick cutouts, framing changes and any structural review or permit responsibilities are specified separately where applicable. If removal reveals concealed damage, we document it and agree the repair before proceeding.

Photos and approximate counts begin the conversation. Site measurements and confirmed selections come before fabrication; installation follows the agreed product and access schedule. We check operation and complete the quoted finishing and cleanup.

Do I need new glass or a whole new window?
Glass-only replacement may suit damaged or failed sealed glass when the sash and frame are sound. A complete window may be appropriate when frames, seals or operation also need attention. We inspect what can remain and explain the installation and finish work involved before recommending the scope.
Does condensation mean the window needs replacing?
First identify where the moisture sits. Condensation on the room-side or outside surface can relate to temperature and humidity. Persistent fog between sealed panes is a different issue and calls for assessment of the glass unit. A photograph helps start that discussion, but glass replacement does not resolve every source of moisture or drafts.
Can you change the size or position of a window?
We can assess enlarging an opening, combining windows or creating a new opening. This may involve masonry, framing, structural review, approvals and changes to surrounding finishes. Those responsibilities are defined separately in the quote. The Woodbridge six-to-three project is an example of altered brick openings, rather than a standard like-for-like replacement.
How do I choose an operating style?
Start with ventilation, daylight, privacy, cleaning access and the space around the window. Fixed glass does not open; casement, awning, hung and sliding options operate differently. We check the selected product and configuration against the room and opening before ordering.
What photos and counts should I send?
Send an interior and exterior view of each window group, your approximate window count and dimensions, city or postal code, and the problem you want to solve. Include nearby walls, trim and any visible damage. Tell us whether you want to retain the opening or change it. Approximate measurements help planning; they are not fabrication dimensions.
How do measuring, fabrication and installation fit together?
We begin with your photos and scope, then confirm site measurements, products and finish details before an order is approved. Fabrication and delivery depend on the selected units and supplier schedule. Installation is coordinated with access and any opening work; final checks cover operation, the quoted finishes and cleanup. Your written agreement confirms timing and payment stages.
