This is the second time Max has done some work at our home. The first time was to remove popcorn from our hallway ceilings. We were so very impressed with the results and it was truly dust-free. This time Max removed wallpaper and prepared those walls for painting. He painted several other areas as well and sanded and reapplied urethane on all our new doors. And again it was dust-free! Questions to resolve before a custom door order

Do you supply and install exterior doors?

Yes. The intended scope is a measured, supplied and installed door system with the included insulation, sealing, trim and finishing stated in writing.

Should I choose steel or fibreglass?

The right choice depends on the look, glass layout, exposure, finish direction, product construction and budget. Strataline compares the shortlisted systems instead of treating one material as universally better.

What photos should I send first?

Send the full entrance from outside, the frame and trim from inside, the threshold, and a wider view showing steps, landing, porch or nearby walls.

Can a door be quoted from photos alone?

Photos are useful for the first review, but a custom order requires a site measure and confirmation of the opening, swing, handing and surrounding conditions.

Can I compare decorative and privacy glass?

Yes. Glass families can be shortlisted by appearance, daylight and privacy. Final availability and specifications are confirmed against the selected supplier system.

Can I add or change sidelites?

Sometimes. The existing opening width, structure, exterior finish, interior trim and desired proportions must be reviewed before changing the configuration.

Can a transom be included?

A transom may be possible where the opening height and surrounding construction allow it. Exact sizing is confirmed during the measure and product review.

Do you replace doors within the existing opening?

Yes. Many projects retain the opening location while replacing the complete prehung system and coordinating the perimeter and trim.

What if I want a wider or taller opening?

That becomes an opening-construction project, not a simple door replacement. Structure, services, exterior water management, approvals and finish transitions may all affect the scope.

Is interior and exterior trim included?

It can be. The quote states which jamb extensions, casing, exterior trim, capping, caulking and paint-ready or finished surfaces are included.

What happens if damage is found after removal?

Unexpected deterioration is photographed and discussed before work outside the written scope proceeds.

Can I choose my own lockset and hardware?

Hardware can be coordinated with the selected slab, multipoint or conventional preparation, backset, finish and smart-lock requirements. Compatibility is confirmed before ordering.

Do you also handle patio or sliding doors?

Yes, as a supporting exterior-opening service. Operation, glass, threshold, perimeter sealing and interior trim are reviewed together.

How long does an exterior-door project take?

Ordering lead time varies by manufacturer and configuration. Installation timing depends on the opening and included finishing; both are discussed before the order is placed.

Where do you install exterior doors?
