FAQ
The appropriate licensed trade partners complete regulated electrical, plumbing, HVAC, gas and similar work, coordinated by Strataline. Our ordinary renovation crew does not personally perform every specialty. The written scope identifies the required trades and responsibilities. For electrical work, the contractor’s ECRA/ESA licence can be checked through the Electrical Safety Authority.
The Licensed Electrical Contractor handling the work files the required ESA notification and arranges the applicable inspection or review. Strataline coordinates the partner and scope, and the Certificate of Acceptance is requested for your records when ESA has accepted the notified work.
Many can, but the selected LED fitting or driver must be matched to a compatible dimmer. We confirm the pairing and usable dimming range, including any existing switches, before installation.
The licensed electrical partner assesses the existing installation and extra demand before recommending whether an upgrade is needed. Any panel or service changes, utility coordination and planned power interruption are confirmed in the project scope.
Some smart controls need a neutral wire, while other models use a compatible no-neutral design and may need a separate bridge. We check the wiring and selected system first, so you do not need to identify wires or choose extra components yourself.
Compatibility depends on the exact control, hub and platform, so tell us what you already use or leave the choice open. We confirm supported integrations and which features need an internet connection before recommending controls.
PoE cameras use Ethernet cabling for data and power from suitable equipment, while Wi-Fi cameras still need an appropriate power source or battery. We review cable access, network coverage and the selected camera with you before agreeing the installation.
Some camera systems record to a compatible memory card or local recorder without a cloud plan. Storage, remote viewing and cloud features vary by model and setup, so we confirm those choices and any subscription before you buy.
